i wanna knw how much liquid cash needs to be shown for PR and does it have to be self sponsored or parents can also be shown as source of funds?

The basic rule is that you should have CAD$10,000 plus $2000 per accompanying dependent. The instructions issued by each visa office would clarify their requirements. Such funds should be liquid and transferable.
