my PR application is still in progress. Now I have a job offer of a company in Canada. The employer just asked my how he can apply for a work permit for me. I found out that it should be much faster to get a temp. work permit and then see what happens with my application.
What do you know about it? What should the employer do and how could I support my PR application with that?

In the vast majority of cases, a work permit application is decided much more quickly than a permanent resident application. The details of the case would determine eligibility and expected time-frames.

If you are granted a work permit, then it is possible to seek as many as 15 additional points towards a Skilled Worker application in the Arranged Employment and Adaptability factors.
