Hi David,

How would you satisfy a visa officer that you will return to your home country when canadian status expires.

How does visa officer review documents for work permit? What are the documents they considered after HRDC confirmation and job offer?

This questions came up to my mind due to long waiting for my visa. I got a job offer for service crew at mcdonald in calgary, Alberta.
I submit my application to canadian embassy(manila) last december 7, 2006 and had recieved medical refferral from canadian embassy december 14, 2006. I was able to accomplished medical exam last december 18, 2006.

Thanks in advance! Hope to hear from you very soon!

The determination of admissibility as a visitor is largely based on an immigration official's satisfaction that the applicant is likely to depart Canada in such a case as Canadian status expires. There is no absolute criteria that is used, but common factors are the presence of familial and financial ties to the home country.
