Hiring an immigration consultant

Postby Fersal25 on Thu Sep 29, 2005 2:11 pm

Hello David,

Ive contacted an immigration consultant, he's telling me he could get me the Permamnet Visa, after paying 2500 dlls, and if I dont get the Visa he would refund 100% of the money. He is registered by the Canadian Government. What do you think.

Right now I have 65 out of the 67 points needed, do you think I can still get the Visa ?

Thanks

Fersal, your post suggests that you recognize that your score is deficient in terms of eligibility for a permanent resident visa. The question, therefore, is what is planned in order to compensate for this?

Are you being promised Substituted Evaluation? If so, that is a highly risky proposition.

Is the goal to improve language skills so as to compensate for the shortage? This is not an unreasonable approach as long as you consider that you will likely be requested to undertake standardized language testing in order to earn such points.

Without knowing all the details of the case, it is very difficult to know if what you are being promised is reasonable or not.
