Hello Androw,,
thank you for this informative site and I hope you could guid me. I am a canadian citizen and I have a brother who lives and workes in United Arab Emirates. He lived there for about 30 years and he is still a yemeni citizen. my brother would like to immigrate to canada and we thought the best thing is to come with work permit, but of course we dont know how. he has a Diploma in Software Engineering, and he took multiple courses in computer related programs. Is there anyway you can help us in guiding us to official agencies, or lawyers, or anybody who can give us directions of where to go??
I appreciate your help

hi Mickey:

I would be careful. What position are hey offering you? Do they have approval from Service Canada to hire you? They need to answer both of those questions before you do anything.

What are your qualifications and what work are you qualified for here in Canada?

Salwa:

There are many agencies that can advise you, but always be careful if some say they can guarantee you a job. no they cannot, so stay clear of those one. If you email me here at the forum I can advise further.

Anila:

I know a little bit about medical transcriptions. Its a long process, at least one year, to get qualified in Canada and your English skills must be excellent. I don't think there is a big need for someone in your profession, and you will face some qualifications issues if someone did offer you employment. Have you searched the job boards for a position?

I am an American citizen and have browsed and applied on sites looking for a job offer and so far have had no luck. My goal is to unite with my fiance who is a citizen of Canada. is the success rate higher and is it even possible to drive up on my passport for a 180 day stay and look for work within Canada? I guess my ultimate question is; can i be offered a job offer and work permit from inside of Canada. Any response would be greatl appreciated. I'm at the end of my rope.

Good day Androw,
I am 26 years old a Petroleum Engineer (NOC: 2145-A) from Egypt with 3.5 years of experience in my career.
I am now in the process of application to get the professional license from APEGGA-Alberta to be a Professional Engineer (P. Eng) – member in training.
Is this job category (Petroleum Engineer – NOC: 2145.A) is required in Canada? And in which province?
In case I should have a job offer from a Canadian employer in order to apply for immigration, how can I get that job offer?
Thanks a lot for your highly appreciated cooperation.

There are a number of ways on checking for positions of this kind, and the best site to use is: indeed.ca

That site lists all the jobs available that apply to your skill set. The job offer is the hard part. An employer will only offer you a job if they cannot find a suitable candidate already in Canada.

If you look through the site you will see many recommendations I have made. Also, email me direct and we can chat further about your case.

I am interested in working in Canada. I am an American citizen and I have a Bachelor's degree in Nursing, with three years of work experience in the Medical/Surgical department in an acute care hospital. I was wondering if there is much of a market for my skill in Canada? I have registered with Monster.ca and have gotten no bites at all in the last three months. Any advice/help would be greatly appreciated.

Tetrao:

There are a number of nursing and medical position in Canada right now. It is a matter of you getting your credentials recognized up here and finding a suitable job offer. Email me here at the sire and I can advise more.

Saskatchewan is the best province to look in right now. Make sure you have all your documentation together in order to have your credentials recognized here. And you CV must be done up here in Canada. That helps a lot for sure.
