My attorney recently submitted my work permit renewal, prior to my work permit expiration date. I'm told I have implied work status and can remain in Canada working, but because my work permit has since then expired I will need to remain in Canada until the work permit is renewed. Is there any way to pay for the renewal to be expedited? I'm told the renewals are currently taking over 4 months. Any advice would be appreciated.
