My fiance will be travelling to Canada from India on a work permit(LMO-IT professional) in Sep'2011. We are getting married in Nov'2011. Can you please suggest which is the quickest way - dependent spouse visa or visitors visa to join my husband in Canada?

If I come through visitors visa, what support documents are required? Can I get my dependent spouse visa processed while in Canada on visitors visa? If not can I travel to US to get the same done ( I already have a US visitors visa)?

If dependent spouse visa is a better option, what is the processing time?

Also, once I have my dependent visa how soon can I apply for the work permit and what is the wait time usually?
