Dependant work permit

Postby Ani on Mon Jul 25, 2011 5:56 pm

Hi

I am working on work permit here in one of Company. My wife has got dependent work permit and she is also working here in some bank.
Now the bank in which my wife is working has offered separate work permit for my wife as they want her to work long term. Now i want apply my dependent work permit with her application.
I want to ask here, whether i will get any issues in this case as i already have work permit with different company?
Also what will happen if my company sends me back to my home country before my Wife's application (Along with my dependant application) is not yet processed but submitted.

Thanks
Ani

If eligible for the provisions of Spouses of Highly Skilled Workers, you can seek an open work permit; current possession of a work permit should not prohibit that.

Your employer cannot send you home. If your position is terminated, you are permitted to remain in the country until the current permit expires. Of course, work for any new employer would need a new work permit first.
