Hi there. My partner of 7 years is a Canadian citizen. But we do not live in Canada. I would like to move there, but he does not want to. Can he sponsor me even though he will continue to live in Europe? Would it make a difference if we got married? Does this relationship grant me any rights to live /work in Canada?

A sponsorship would not be approved if he could not demonstrate an intent to reside in Canada.
