Sir David!
My name is Kamran Latif. I want to apply for the canadian work visa. Will you help me in the matter. I already have a job offer from a canadian employer. But, i am not sure about the employer authenticity. Will you guide me in the matter. Thanks

If you do not know if the job offer is genuine, then there is a tremendous likelihood that it is not. Based on some samples of such offers that we have seen, here are some questions to ask yourself:

1. Why would a company ask me to pay a fee to apply for work? Why is this fee coming after they have made me an offer? Why does this need to be through anonymous money transfer services such as Western Union?

2. Why is a major Canadian employer using free (gmail, hotmail, etc.) email addresses?

3. Can I verify the credibility of my contact by looking up the company or government agency directly and communicating through the phone numbers that they supply on their own web sites?

The application of some common sense and some independent research can easily resolve the credibility of these offers, which are often playing on the desperation of others. Here is a URL that you should look at:
