Hi I am a fresh gradaute and have got a job offer from a multinational company. the company wants me hring through their canadian office but the job requires me to travel a lot to usa .. a month or so at a time. Would this effect my work permit status ( once i get it). Are there any rules for the work permit requiriing residency in the city u apply in. Also would not spending too much time in Canad itself effect my PR application later on when i decide to apply for it.

Assuming that you are seeking a work permit under the post-graduation provisions, there is no limitation on the amount of work that can be performed outside of Canada. The US, of course, has rules governing work in that country.

Unless you are considered resident outside Canada during your business-trips, there would not be an impact on a PR application.

Please, help me to clarify, if i have a work permit and have just come to Canada to work, How long do i have to work to be able to apply for permanent residentship in Buffalo??

And, how long ussualy does the consulate considers the application and makes the decission?
