I am a Indian Citizen currently working in US on a H1 and I have been in US for close to 6 years. If I get a Canadian work offer with validity for 1 year..

# Do I have travel to India for work permit stamping ?
# Or Can I get the work permit stamping in US and move directly to Canada from US ?

yes dude u can get it done in usa only i think at buffalo consulate

but i have queries of my own
1)did u physically travel to canada to get a job or it was telephonic\online

2)how much time did it take for the company to issue you a work permit

3)was the job through an agency?how much money do they charge?

i am anshul frm india comn for mba in fall 07 to usa but wanna work n settle in canada

With H1 status in the USA, you may seek a work permit therein and may travel to Canada directly.
