Hi,

i need some clarifications here, am suppose to resume in canada sometime in Sept '06 for a graduate course. Am a college gradute from Nigeria (nigerian nationality) and has 4 year works experience. i would really need to work while schooling (which is a 1 year course).

i need to find out how easy or possible it will be to get a work permit, even outside school, and what are the possible steps i need to take.

Thanks

Foreign students are allowed to engage in on-campus work without a work permit. Certain provices also allow off-campus work similarly; you should contact the foreign student body at your school to determine if that applies to your case.

i need to have an idea now to be fully prepared for whatever the situation might be come september '06, and what to make appropiate budgets for.

Centennial College is in Ontario, where you are only allowed to work on campus part time. Most of universities/colleges hire Canadian Citizen with OSAP though.
