Canada work visa

Postby angelicacaro on Thu Dec 02, 2010 1:38 pm

Hello there,

I wanna apply for a work visa here in Canada; I said "here" because I'm currently visiting canada as a tourist but I want to stay here working for a few months. Is there anyway I can change this "Tourism Visa" I currently have and swap it for a work permit or so? If so, can you help me with it?

Thanks

A change of terms to a new work permit is not viable for processing inland. You would need to submit such an application for processing outside of Canada. You may submit it while you remain in Canada, but there will be the necessity to depart Canada either in the case of an interview or in the case of approval of the case. Processing outside of Canada can include processing at a port of entry depending on nationality.

Bear in mind that a Labour Market Opinion may be needed prior to being able to seek a work permit.
