Big Dilemma

Postby RWS on Thu Nov 23, 2006 10:02 pm

I've been in Canada for over 4 years on 2 differen TWP through my current employer and I recently applied for a Porvincial Nominee program through my and I have received confirmation that Manitoba is processing the application.

My dilemma is that a smaller company has offered me a postion that I am interested but the start time is soon. My wife is Canadian just for a spin on things and I don't know which way to turn.

I was advised that the new company needs to submit a labour market survey before they can proceed with pursuing a TWP for me through their company.

Are there any options that would expedite the situation? or Do I have to wait for a Suvey prior to pursuing this new position?

Any similar situations out there?
Thanks.

As a general rule, the Labour Market Opinion must be obtained prior to seeking a work permit for a new employer. Exemptions to the LMO requirement exist, but there is not enough detail here to determine eligibility for such.
