I'm just wondering if I can start to work even I'm just waiting for a copy of my new work permit for a new employer? It has been approved but forgot to ask CIC if I can start to work, right away?I can't call them back, coz it's 4PM already & Friday. I filed my resignation a week ago before I confirmed from CIC that my work permit has been approved. Is there anyone know about this?

You must typically be granted the new work permit prior to being able to commence work for a new employer. If you can confirm with CIC the details of the new work permit, then that may be sufficient to allow you to commence work even if it has not yet reached you via mail.
