Applying for work permit; no formal training certificates

Postby eduardo on Fri Mar 09, 2007 6:28 pm

Hello, I am a goldsmith. Recently, an employer in Canada showed interest in my skills and is going to hire me. I do not have formal training in my trade but I have more than 15 years working experience. Will I have problem applying for work permit?

Following Confirmation, you may be required to demonstrate that you meet the National Occupational Classification requirements for the occupation selected by Service Canada. Some such designations do have education/training requirements such as apprenticeships or college education.
