Hello

Here is my situation:
I currently live in Montreal, Quebec. I've been holding a study permit for about 6 years now and I graduated from a highschool in montreal about 2 years ago and I'm in 2nd year of CEGEP at the moment. I'll be entering university this fall 2008.
In the fall of 2007, I've applied and received a work permit (qualified as a full time student) although I haven't been really working except at school as a peer tutor ever since.
I speak both french and english.

So, can I apply for permanent residency while on my study permit/work permit with the above situation?
If there is any significant details that I missed, please let me know.
