I've been working in Canada for 15 months now and my current temporary work permit as a skilled worker was issued in June 2007 (valid for 2 years).
Now I want to apply for PR under the PNP as I don't have the required funds of 10.000 CAD.

Well, that was the plan. Now I found out that I'm pregnant and I will probably end up being a single mom...

Should I still consider applyinf for PR or is a pregnancy enough to say that I won't bring a substatnial input into the Province? Will I get rejected?

Will anything change for me once my child will have the Canadian citizenship?

This looks like an old query...but can you pl answer this one. I find myself in the same situation. I will probably be able to show 10K and my husband also has a TRP/WP, but it expires next year August (2009). It has just been 2 months in Canada for us and we are absolutely loving it here. How soon can we apply for a PR?
