hoping you can help me out with this question.

i have worked in same job last 2 years, permit up soon. So i have open for an open work permit through my spouse about 30 days ago, processing in Vegreville.

Should I go ahead and apply for another LMO as well, just incase my open work permit doesnt come through??

What would happen if my open work permit was approved but my LMO was rejected, i would still be working the same job that my LMO was rejected? Would that cause any issues?

I really would prefer the open work permit, but what to make sure i have some kind of permit soon.

You may apply for an LMO while the open work permit application is pending. The decision regarding the LMO should have no bearing on the open work permit application, or your eligibility to continue working for the company if the open work permit is granted.
