I have a valid Work Permit that expires on August 2013 and currently have a job in Canada. I want to leave Canada to go to Hong Kong as soon as I can because my mom is sick. But I don't have a valid Temporary Resident Visa to re-entry when I come back. I found out processing for Visa takes about 30 days here, but I found out processing for Visa in Hong Kong is about 7 days.
So, Can I leave Canada right now taking temporary leave from my job and apply my re-entry visa in Hong Kong when its time to come back to Canada ? Is it okay/possible ?

You cannot process a new entry visa within Canada; it has to be done at a visa office abroad. Depending on the duration of your planned stay in Hong Kong, that may make the most sense, although processing in the USA may be viable as well based on your residency status in Canada.
