I am an Englishman currently working in Quebec on a open, non extendable work permit for 1 year finishing in 3 months.

I have just been successful in a job interview of an employer who needs me and will help with obtaining the 2yr visa.

However my question is... can I do all of the application process here in Quebec only leaving to activate the visa upon reentry?

On the website it says (after approval from the Quebec HR): You must then apply for a WP at the Canadian Visa Office serving your country. Does that mean I need to be in the UK for that?

Assuming that he or she is holding a valid CAQ at such time, a UK citizen may apply for your work permit at a Canadian port of entry
