about the NOC code for IT professional for Immigration

Postby zage7 on Sun Jan 06, 2008 10:49 pm

hi
i want to apply to the skilled worker Immigration and my job is multimedia software developer. the NOC code is 9990.4
no i have some problems
one is that when i search the NOC web site with that code i cant find anything
is it maybe because that page is outdated? or maybe this is the wrong code?
the other problem is that the number of letter allowed to write the occupation title dosent fit "multimedia software developer" when i fill it on the computer
so what should i do then?
can i shorten it like "mm sw developer " or should i write it by hand
.i have everything ready now but ths is the only thing i wanted to make sure of.

thanx

Hi,

Couldn't post using links, so am suggesting that you instead search for 'interactive media developers' and 'computer programmers'. I think the code might be wrong; it ought to be 2174.

There's also a document that explains how the code works on the hrdc website - search for a tutorial on skill level. Good luck.
